This was sent to me by a friend:
It happened at Wal-Mart (Supercenter Store #1279, 10411 N Freeway 45,
Houston, TX 77037) a month ago. I bought a bunch of stuff, over $150, & I
glanced at my receipt as the cashier was handing me the bags. I saw a
cash-back of $40. I told her I didn't request a cash back & to delete it.
She said I'd have to take the $40 because she couldn't delete it. I told
her to call a supervisor. Supervisor came & said I'd have to take it. I…

We who have taught, or love children who have been taught, know this is funny!
From the diary of a Pre-School Teacher
My five-year old students are learning to read.
Yesterday one of them pointed at a picture in a zoo book and said,
"Look at this! It's a frickin' elephant!"
I took a deep breath, then asked...."What did you call it?"
"It's a
frickin' elephant! It says so on the picture!"
And so it does...

This gives us something to think about with all our new electronic technology.
GPS
A couple of weeks ago a friend told me that someone she knew had
their car broken into while they were at a football game. Their car was
parked on the green which was adjacent to the football stadium and
specially allotted to football fans. Things stolen from the car included
a garage door remote control, some money and a GPS which had been
prominently mounted on the dashboard..
When…

IT DOESN'T MATTER IF YOU ARE REPUBLICAN OR DEMOCRAT!
SPREAD THE WORD!!!!
Propose this in 2009:
START A BILL TO PLACE ALL POLITICIANS ON SOCIAL SECURITY
SOCIAL SECURITY:
(This is worth reading. It is short and to the point.)
Perhaps we are asking the wrong questions during election years.
Our Senators and Congresswomen
do not pay into Social Security and, of course, they do not collect from it.
You see, Social Security benefits were not suitable f…

REMEMBER...Always Remember
On Friday, September 11th, 2009, an American flag should be displayed outside every home, apartment, office, and store in the United States. Every individual should make it their duty to display an American flag on this eighth anniversary of one of our country's worst tragedies. We do this to honor those who lost their lives on 9/11, their families, friends and loved ones who continue to endure the pain, and those who today are fighting at home and abroad to p…

A Few PONDERISMS to Ponder:
* I used to eat a lot of natural foods until I learned that most
people die of natural causes.
* There are two kinds of pedestrians: the quick and the dead.
* Life is sexually transmitted.
* Healthy is merely the slowest possible rate at which one can die.
* The only difference between a rut and a grave is the depth.
* Health nuts are going to feel stupid someday, lying in hospitals
dying of nothing.
* Have you noticed since everyone has a camcord…

Heidi is the proprietor of a bar in Detroit. She realizes that virtually all
of her customers are unemployed alcoholics and, as such, can no longer
afford to patronize her bar. To solve this problem, she comes up with new
marketing plan that allows her customers to drink now, but pay later.
She keeps track of the drinks consumed on a ledger (thereby granting the
customers loans)..
Word gets around about Heidi's "drink now, pay later" marketing strategy
and, as a result, increasing numbers of c…

A good friend sent this to me tonight...
"I have a friend who is a receptionist in a church in a high risk area who was concerned about someone coming into the office on Monday to rob them when they were counting the collection. She asked the local police department about using pepper spray and they recommended to her that she get a can of wasp spray instead. The wasp spray, they told her, can shoot up to twenty feet away and is a lot more accurate, while with the pepper spray they have to g…

1. Do not sign the back of your credit cards. Instead, put
'PHOTO ID REQUIRED.'
2. When you are writing checks to pay on your credit card accounts, DO NOT put the complete account number on the 'For' line. Instead, just put the last four numbers. The credit card company knows the rest of the number, and anyone who might be handling your check as it passes through all the check processing channels won't have access to it.
3. Put your work phone # on your checks inste…

This is pretty neat...
It takes less than a minute.
Work this out as you read. Be sure you don't read the bottom until you've
worked it out!
1. First of all, pick the number of times a week that you would like to have chocolate (more than once but fewer than 10)
2. Multiply this number by 2
3. Add 5
4. Multiply it by 50 -- You may want to get the calculator
5. If you have already had your birthday this year add 1759 .. If you haven't, add 1758.
6. Now subtract the four digit year that you…

BUGS GO CRAZY IN BORNEO!
To treat a major malaria outbreak in Borneo, WHO, the World Health Organization, sprayed with DDT to destroy the mosquitoes. Sadly, the DDT also killed certain wasps that were controlling thatch-eating caterpillars. Subsequently, the roofs of the thatched homes fell down and the DDT poisoned caterpillars were eaten by geckoes which were eaten by cats. The cats died and triggered an out-break of rats which spread a sylvatic plague and typus.
