Next........ Twitter, Blog and release to whatever outside support that is in place. Again this activity is picked up by the spiders and crawlers of the web and all links will be refres…

Since I live about an hour away from my grand-kids, I always try to send them cards for special holidays like Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Valentine's Day, Easter or even Ground Hog's Day. I always include some little treat, like stickers, bookmarks, or a even a lollipop. This year, however, I was unusually busy with our eCrater store, so I just added a couple of dollars to their cards.
Last night I received my thank you call from my 5 year old grandson. He told me he and his brother real…

I must confess that it was just this past week that I realized we can have more than 100 photos on here. All this time I thot that was the total quota. Now I know that it's
100 per album, not per member. Just sharing in case anyone else had this idea. Won't be surprised if I'm the only one tho!

My first observation:
eCrater is a venue for small business to generate a dynamic shopping cart. As a result the one common thread is e-commerce. Because of the large numbers and variety of stores hosted by eCrater then collectively we have created an eCrater Mall, which has an internal search engine for buyers.
What
eCrater Stores a Shopper's Paradise offers here at…

Alright,
I'm all signed up, pages are created, I tweet and twib daily but I still don't get the point. lol
I still haven't figured out how this or if this will help my store. And I get really frustrated when I go back to my twitter and twibe pages and there's nothing there but back and forth gossip or:
I'm on my way to the store.
Just picked the kids.
Just got off the phone with my sister.
Etc.
I mean someone help me to see what the point is.
Does it really help with getting the word out…

In response to the poll the one thing we have heard everyone say is they would like further information. So, I thought I would post this blog in attempt to further explain the new site direction we are referring to along with some other points members have brought up.
First off we have never allowed promoting of other sites on eCrater Ning. Not on personal pages or else where on the site. That has been the rule ever since the site opened.
To hit on some other points members have brought up is…

Our posting marathon really turned out well, folks, everyone's participation has been fantastic! The hope was to get everyone in the spirit and habit of posting here in preparation for the upcoming holiday selling season, and it seems to have been successful. A few hours before the close of the marathon, I found the following results.
We gained
12 new members, had
40 new albums posted,
10 new blog posts, and an
unbelievable 50 recipes posted, including 26 in the new…

Since eCrater does index well with search engines and with the Google base, I personally would like to see a better defined sub-categories under Art.
Maybe artists here could contribute to a list of what is needed and then eventually the list could be submitted to Dimitri at eCrater. It is better for everyone who is working towards a better SEO. The word Art is a great keyword but the search is better achieved when the Art is defined.
Art:
Currently there are these sub-categories on…

Just wanted to remind everyone tomorrow is the start of our posting marathon. I have been listing like crazy and can't wait to start posting it all here. Remember the idea is to post as much as possible. This is going to improve the rankings here, create links for you and get your store inventory viewed as much as possible. We would love to see some new photo albums, please include at least 10 pictures for main page feature, and if anyone needs a category added to shopping page, leave a comment…

When the Dog Days of summer roll around, retailers begin having visions of sugarplums. Yes, it's time to start promoting your store to compete for those holiday dollars. That's why you will want to join in on our posting marathon coming up August 16-31.
