aweston39 Business vs Hobby

How many people sell as a business on ecrater vs a hobby? I know the difference is with the amout of deductions you can take on your taxes. I want to change from a corporation to a hobby status. Anyone have any advice on how to do it? I would still sell on ecrater of course. Do I need to get a new resellers license if I make the corporation inactive and become a single proprieter? Any advice would be appreciated aweston39 Continue

Linda Not Too Shabby

With all the changes with Google and attributes, etc. happening all around us, I was really thinking that I'd probably be one of those little tiny stores that no one would ever hear from again; basically at the bottom of the food chain. But I must report that so far November has been one of my best sales months ever (and it's not over yet). I'm not sure where my products are showing up for these lovely buyers of mine, because when I do my "self" research hunting I'm usually at the back door some… Continue

Comycgyrl Collectibles Something nice to wake up to.

I woke this morning to two emails from recent customers. Generally I sit and wait for a feedback to be made on my site, which very few people do that. So you can see how amazed I was to find that I had emails from customers. The first email came from a lady who purchased a Avon Baby's First Christmas Ornament 1989. She wrote: Hi, Just wanted to let you know I received my ornament today. I am thrilled with it. I had one a while ago for my daughter when she was born. It broke and I'm very happy… Continue

beachcat's bargains "CASH BACK" - Beware!!

This was sent to me by a friend: It happened at Wal-Mart (Supercenter Store #1279, 10411 N Freeway 45, Houston, TX 77037) a month ago. I bought a bunch of stuff, over $150, & I glanced at my receipt as the cashier was handing me the bags. I saw a cash-back of $40. I told her I didn't request a cash back & to delete it. She said I'd have to take the $40 because she couldn't delete it. I told her to call a supervisor. Supervisor came & said I'd have to take it. I… Continue

Covet And Love It Vintage Google Data Feed Errors?

When I signed into my store this morning, I noticed that the Google Data Feed was showing that of 46 items processed, only 26 were inserted. I sell vintage clothing and have been mentally scratching my head over what could be causing them to be rejected. Explanation reads: 'Most probably Google encountered an error while processing your product feed. Please wait 3 days until we submit a new feed and Google processes it. Then if you still see "not inserted" items please contact us.' It doesn'tContinue

Covet And Love It Vintage eCrater Logo Wanted for my Clamshell Cottage Blog

I wanted to toss this request out there real quick. I'm currently working on a new blogspot for my eCrater store, Clamshell Cottage Vintage Collectables and would like to have an eCrater logo to put in the sidebar. I can't use the ecrater.ning badge because I registered here under Covet And Love It Vintage Fashions originally and that would show up as the avatar. I was wondering if anyone knows where I can find a good logo to advertise eCrater. You know, something that says eCrater Stores-WheContinue

Covet And Love It Vintage Vintage Dresden Quilt Find - Patience Does Indeed Pay Off

A while back I'd done considerable grousing in a blog about losing out on some vintage lace panels to an antique dealer while cruising my favorite thrifts. I thought I'd check back again since I'd halfheartedly sorted through the bins after she was done. I mean, what the heck. Those bins are pretty doggone big and after sorting through one, the rest start to look like mountains of fabric, lol. This time, I went and got a couple of those empty fabric carts on wheels from one of the boys in thContinue

MidcenturyMarilyn Words of Wisdom from a Great American

Will Rogers Said Will Rogers, who died in a plane crash with Wylie Post in 1935, was probably the greatest political sage this country has ever known. Here's some of his sayings' 1. Never slap a man who's chewing tobacco. 2. Never kick a cow chip on a hot day. 3. There are 2 theories to arguing with a woman...neither works. 4. Never miss a good chance to shut up. 5. Always drink upstream from the herd. 6. If you find yourself in a hole, stop digging. 7. The quickest way to double your… Continue

MJ Wenzel Our Cub Scout Pack

Wow...We had a great time last night at Cub Scouts. We got to visit our local fire department and then we all went for pizza. I found out that nobody is doing a current wesite for our pack...so, I offered to do one for them. So the next couple of days I will not have time for my store stuff...even though I have more to list. I have already started working on our new site http://pack77-wv.zoomshare.com. It shouldn't take but a few hours (but I have to go and take some pics of our building and tha… Continue

Covet And Love It Vintage Those Pesky Gremlins Are At It Again!

Well, I did it again. Found beaucoup yardage of a lovely pale pink moire two weeks ago while I was sweeping SC a la Sherman, put it somewhere (okay, I admit I hid it from myself) and don't have a clue where! I mean, this yardage would fit in a square Priority Mail box so we're talking bigger than a breadbox here. Sometimes I feel like I'm swimming in fabric. I'd really counted on using that material for some of my handcrafted pillows. Why is it that the one item you're looking for, disappearsContinue
