I just tried to do wave and it says you have to be invited. Can someone invite me? It looks interesting. Has anyone been on it yet?

Fantastic Cindy! What a great way to end a perfect vacation. My hubby and I bought a ramshackle cottage near the shore years ago and she's a real fixer upper! It doesn't get any better than sun and surf and sales in our ecrater stores! Way to go gir…

Another Order Whoohoo!

I was sooo excited this week to get my second order on my eCrater store. Amazing how small things can excite me these days. It was a very small order for a lamp part, but hey! It's an order. After figuring out the Google Checkout problem, I was ready to go.

This has been a tiring week physically as I'm weeding my flower gardens...the weeds are taller than the flowers! Trying to get my piano teaching schedule set for the year has been a challenge as the parents don't seem to be returning calls t… Continue

Getting Things Done

I'm feeling pretty good about what I'm getting done on my site now. I still have pictures to add and a few more products but the majority of the lamp parts are out there. Yeah! Now I can enjoy making more lamps and doing the creative part that I enjoy. I like doing the computer stuff too but it seems to have taken over the creative part for a while. I just finished a new teapot lamp that I'm calling Grandma's Rose Teacup Lamp because it was a teacup and saucer my Gram had a fresh flower arrangem… Continue

HELP! Photo Trouble with eCrater

I know I haven't been out here for awhile so forgive my ignorance if I missed something. I'm trying to post products on my eCrater store. I can't get the pictures to be the right size. I've resized them in Microsoft Office Picture Manager to 93x212 and they still show up as big in the product listing. I thought eCrater was supposed to automatically resize the thumbnails. I can't find where to ask this question on the forum either, so I'm asking here. Any ideas?

Back At It

We just returned home from two weeks of burials. We buried Mom on her birthday, May 11th. As we were getting on the exit ramp to home, we got a phone call from my husband's dad saying his brother had just died. He was 49 and died of sirosis of the liver. It has not been a fun couple weeks, but I'm home now and all my products are listed on eCrater except the lamp parts. I've been procrastinating on those and now need to get them listed too. I'm glad to have something to think about other than de… Continue

Another Sad Week

Just as we were getting off the exit to arrive home yesterday, my husband's dad called to say his brother died. So we had to go home, repack, and leave for Ohio. We are now trying to comfort his family. His brother lived in Florida and is being cremated. We still don't know when. His mom asked me to do a service in his memory here at the house for just family. I've never done anything like this but I know God will help me say the right words to bring comfort and healing.

Will this ever end?

Hi Cindy~
Actually 'Clamshell Cottage' found us. Back in 99 an agent contacted us about a sad little cottage that was priced under 200,000 and needed some major TLC- he sent us some photos and it was love at first sight for me....I won't even begin to describe the look on my husband's face! Now there's nowhere else he'd rather be.
Edisto Island is south of Charleston, SC and way off the beaten path, so it was much slower to grow than other coastal areas but it still remains a family beach and very non-commercial. Wayne and I refer to it as Land's End because you really feel like you're living on the edge.

I have so many irons in the fire right now....setting up another Ecrater store devoted to Clamshell Cottage Vintage Collectables for linens, cottage style pillows and pottery and glass. I'd also like to start a blog about life at Clamshell Cottage and would love to share some photos with you all.

So here I am on a holiday....tapping away at the keyboard like a workaholic (*~*)

Hi Cindy, Finally getting back to you! I'm attaching pictures of my poor lampshade. It's literally falling apart in my hands :( It measures 8.5" across the top, 11.75" across the bottom, around the top is 27.25", and around the bottom is 38". From top to bottom is 8.75". It's very similar to the traditional one you have pictured below, but is less straight up and down, it curves in.

Please let me know about how much it would cost to re-fabric it. I'd probably send you the frame as it's perfect for the lamp. Thank you & have a great day! Andrea

Thanks, Cindy! I love your lamps. I am always challenged by trying to fit a shade to a lamp (unless they come together). Great job!

Hi Cindy, I'm a fellow ecrater-er.... and I have a vintage lamp whose shade is literally falling apart. I'm down to the spider frame. It's about 12" diameter & 10" tall. Do you put new fabric on an old frame? I have searched high and low on the internet with no luck in finding a replacement, and I love the old turn-of-the-century floor lamp that it goes with. Thank you for any help you can offer! Andrea (visit me here!)
