Peter Arato and I have decided there is a need to discuss and promote those forms of media some of us still have. Let's talk about 8 Tracks, Laser Discs, Cassettes, CD's etc. We have a Group dedicated to Record Albums...this Group is 4 all others.

Sounds like I made the right decision to leave them there. Maybe someone else will "get lucky" and spy them on the bottom shelf.

FYI: This was at the Habitat Store. If you have one in your area they do carry more than just sinks and door frames!

:-) I'll come across one some time...now that I have them. The record collection is a major hurdle at this point.

Willing to give the 8 tracks away for the cost of shipping if anyone is interested.... :-)

I think well in my case I sold the player with the tapes and I got good money that way.. people probably will not buy them because you have not said that they work sometimes if you buy them at a yard sale or what ever there used and don't play good anymore in my case they were my collection and I keep them in good working shape, you need to get a 8 track player so you can test the tapes.

I was able to get my hands on 100 or so 8 tracks, probably more. They are mostly country, as well. I've listed a few, one or two are still sealed. Nothing as of yet. There is a group I joined on line for 8 tracks only. Tried to give them away for the cost of shipping..nothing there either. I don't have a way of playing them and indicate as such. Maybe that is why they don't sell.

What do you guys think 8-track Country would do online? I found a sweet little black carrying case with about 20-25 tapes, but they were just about all country music, with a little church stuff on the side. Since the box was kind of in the back on the bottom shelf there's a good chance it might still be there. It was under $10 for the whole thing.

Linda

I have sold a few 8 track players that I picked up at garage sales on feeBay. One that I picked up for $2.00 sold for $38.00.

It should definitely go in the "List Online" box. And as Meryl said it FREE to list on eCrater.

You can only win !!!

Listing on ecrater doesn't cost anything (no kidding-it's why we're here...lol). I don't have any experience with the p8 track players, but one may need it if they have 8 tracks to verify quality. Just a thought.

So did we determine that the old 8-track player itself has any value. We were working the attic yesterday and discovered we still had one. Should it go in the "List Online" box or the "Junk to Go Way" box?!

Sounds great---appears that I have some lasers in excellent condition, then.

And as to apologizing for giving us the way to handle grading...it's perfect! Thanks for the advise!!
