FREE SHIP in listing titles????

Is it true that Google frowns upon the addition of FREE SHIP in listing titles? I offer free shipping on all my listings and wonder if I should add those 2 words to my titles. Please advise. Thanks, TilliesTidbits

I ahve been told by several different sources that it is indeed frowned upon
but let me tell u what google does do for you, if you check the free shipping link in the listing they put on your listing on the products page free shipping...so thye do it for you I wouldnt waste valueable space for keywords for free shipping when google already offers that service from your listing page.

Thanks for your quick reply. I do not mark the Free Ship Box because I ship free to the USA only and not to Canada. What will they do in this case and how should I handle adding free ship in the title now?

I would just include something about your free shipping in your listings description and place information about it on your terms page. You could also put it as a google attribute for the attribute feature

I have read both that Google frowns upon free shipping in listings & have also read that it doesn't make a difference. I do have free shipping stated in some of my listings. After having read about Google frowning upon free being in titles I went & checked my listings. Needless to say my listings have not been affected by adding that to my titles. So, my personal opinion & experience with this is it's just personal choice. I personally don't think it hurts listings.

I no longer offer free shipping. With or without shipping I sell very little and finally decided that initial price was most important to a buyer. By keeping the list price lower I see that I have more lookers. But, I have had only 3 sales at this site since the first of the year and am a little disappointed. If anyone has any suggestions for me regarding my site, I would love to hear them.

I only offer free shipping on a very small number of items. I did it more as an attention grabber than anything else when I was first starting out. I agree with Tillies comment above...competitive pricing is the real key.
