Most of the kiddie buttons are on the other side. I will have to take pics of them cause they are too cute!

Oh, I can see some of the sweet kiddie buttons, Barbara :)
Nice! When I see a great big bag of buttons like that...it makes my fingers itch, lol.
Thanks for the photo.

Old buttons can be so pretty !

My Mom has a huge box of them.
She has some of them in pretty jars for sale at their little store.

She gave me some too to sew onto my hand sewn items or to use when I make clothes...

Organically Yours,
Diana

Oh thank you. I guess I need to learn my camera, got it a few months ago and haven't read the instruction just started taking pics. My old fuji had the macros but it never worked well for me. I am going to have to practice that now. Ah yes something else to occupy me. lol

I have a Canon Powershot with a macro setting which wasn't an expensive camera. The macro comes in handy for photographing art pottery marks, since the pottery is matte and doesn't glare. And for natural lighting shots where no flash is needed and you can shoot from as close a four inches away.
But when I shoot things like tags on clothing where you want to see small printing without a whiteout, I've had good results by increasing the zoom on the lens and stepping back so that when the flash goes off, you don't get that glare. I set my pixels over 1000 so all I have to do is crop down to the area I want.
I did that with these buttons.
If you look closely, the last photo of the shell inlaid button is really just a cropped area of the second photo.
When I took these photos, I was actually standing four feet away. So even though the flash went off, I was far enough away to avoid any glare.

Oh gosh amongst all the things I gotta do is now take pics of buttons, oh please give me a few days. By saturday I will be able to take fun pics of my new collection and maybe some of my old also. I do have a question for you! How did you take the pictures they are so sharp and clear, no glare, no fuzzy or hazy blobs. Very nice pics. Teach me please :)
